The
President Holds a Press Conference
Yesterday, President Obama held a press conference to answer questions and lay out his plan for the country. He made one thing clear: his job is to help American families and small businesses get ahead in the wake of the recession.

In Case You Missed It
On
Tuesday afternoon, for the fourth year, the White House celebrated Diwali, a
holiday known as the "festival of lights" observed annually by
Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and some Buddhist throughout India and across the
world.
On
Friday, President Obama laid out his strategy for moving our country forward
and reducing our deficit in a balanced way. The President was joined by
Vice President Joe Biden – and 14 others stood behind him at the podium.
Facing
the task of cleaning up after Hurricane Sandy, a group of former veterans known
as Team Rubicon use skills acquired in the military to assist people affected
by the storm. Team Rubicon was formed by two former Marines following the
Haitian earthquake in 2010.
